Reporting an error
Please include the address of the page, the figure, rule or calculator result you think is wrong, and a link to a source for the right information if you have one, such as a utility tariff, a state program page or a maker’s datasheet. We check every report against the source. Our corrections page explains what happens next.
Questions about your own home or quote
We sell and install nothing, so we can’t size or price a system for your home, review your quote or contract, tell you whether you qualify for a program or credit, or recommend an installer. Our calculators run on your own numbers, and our pages list what a quote should show and which questions to ask. Your utility decides your rates, export credits and interconnection, the state or program decides incentives, a tax professional decides tax questions, and a licensed installer or electrician designs the real job.
We can’t help in an emergency. In a fire or any emergency, call 911. To report a power outage, contact your utility.
Installers, makers, advertisers and other companies
We don’t sell sponsored posts, links, reviews, listings or placements, and we don’t take affiliate deals, sell leads, pass on quote requests or make installer referrals. If you publish a figure we cite, or make or sell a product we describe, and a fact on our page is wrong, send a source and we will check it like any other report.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle what you send us. Please don’t send account numbers, full utility bills or other personal financial details.
