Corrections

How Leaf & Watt corrects errors in its solar and battery pages and calculators, how to report one, and a dated log of every correction we publish. None yet.

As of 4 November 2026, Leaf & Watt has published no corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix the page and record the fix here, with the date, the page and what changed. Found an error? Here is how to report it.

An empty log does not mean our pages are free of mistakes. It means no error has been corrected yet. Rates, export credits, state programs, tax rules and prices change often. Each page gets a fact-check against its sources, as our editorial policy explains, but no check catches everything.

What counts as a correction

A correction is a change to something a page got wrong, such as a price, a rate, an export credit, a program amount, a tax rule, a date, a product specification, a sum or a calculator result. It also covers a page that stayed unchanged after its source moved on, for example a program that closed or a tariff that changed, leaving a reader with outdated information.

Routine work is not logged here. That means fixing a typo or a broken link, adding a new section, or our scheduled rechecks of rates, rules and prices, as our how we estimate page describes. A page shows an updated date only when its content really changed.

How we correct an error

  1. We check the claim against its source, such as the statute, the IRS, a state commission order, a utility tariff, a program page, EIA, BLS or a maker’s datasheet, and rework any sum or calculator result it affects.
  2. If the page is wrong, we fix it, along with any other page or calculator that uses the same figure, and show the new updated date.
  3. We add an entry to the log above with the date, a link to the page, what it said and what it says now.

If the source does not settle the question, we remove the claim or say plainly that it is unconfirmed. If the source supports the page as written, the page stays as it is. Advertisers have no say over what we publish, so a report from an advertiser, an installer, a maker or a lease company is checked the same way as any other.

How to report an error

Use our contact page and include:

  • the address of the page
  • the sentence, figure or calculator result you think is wrong
  • a link to the source that shows the right answer, if you have one

Our pages are general information, as our disclaimer sets out. Check current rates, credits and program terms with your utility, the state program and a tax professional before you rely on them.
